Are you interested in taking a Vow of Silence for an entire day?  In order to raise awareness for children all over the world whose voices are not heard, those who cannot express their needs and wants, you can vow to stay silent for twenty-four hours.  That means no talking, no texting, no blogging with words, no note writing, no instant messaging, no facebook updates.  It also means you'll be sacrificing your voice for a full day to think of others and remind your friends, family and teachers to do the same.

Let me know what you think by commenting here.

Free the Children has tons more info.

I think it's also a great way to get people to know how it eels to not be heard and how it feels not to be able to say what you want to say.

I think thats really cool. I would be interested in dong something like that, especially since its for raising awareness for children all over the world!

Also, Ms. Pollock, my MLKJ comment is there, you might have missed it. It is between Fatema J.'s comment and Auguste's. But I am still working on my Assign. 5.
Thanks!

I think this is a great idea. I felt very pass-i-on yesturday when learning about thins and I think that many other people will feel the same too. It's really cool but I don't really see anyone learning during the day so maybe half a day.

Wow, I'll try not to talk... but can you put a sign of you that says "sorry, can't talk"? Hmm... I'll try it on Monday, I just hope no teachers ask me any questions!

I think this is a really great idea and that it will teach people at least a little about how horible it is living a life with no say in anything.
