Geography is Coming...

I have heard from many of you who have said you love blogging. Please leave a comment to tell me what you love about blogging and what you do not love about blogging. If you do not love learning History through blogging, please tell me what I can do to help you learn better.

I really love blogging, so I hope that we will be able to do it for Geography as well!! It's way more fun than copying down notes from a textbook, and with blogging we can see/ help each other with their work.

i dont want to continue blogging because whenever I start blogging, i end up getting distracted by templates, and links that other people post.

I don't want to keep blogging because when we go to the computer lab, I am always distracted and I'm not as focused on my studies when blogging than I was when we were studying with Mr. Row.

For some reason, I am more comfortable studying history, geography, and all the other subjects using textbooks and taking tests instead of assignments.

Also, no offence, but I don't like it when right after we get an assignment, we get a new one. Now I am not being mean but its just my opinion.

Hello, Ms. Pollock!!!

(This doesn't have anything to do with the poll)

I put a new contest on my blog, could you do me a really big favour and spread the word about it? (On my last contest, no one came...)

Thankyou!!! :) :) :) :)

I do love blogging. It's a break from the textbook-reading and note-taking in all our other classes. Plus, its way more fun.
But, sometimes I don't like it when we get assignment after assignment, like someone else said. When we do assignments on the computer, we don't really get lessons taught to us, we're just doing research on the internet. Also, we're not really learning in units, like when Mr.Row was teaching we were learning about Confederation. So, we don't know what it is exactly we're learning.
I would like to blog in Geography too ( I voted yes!), and it'd be better if we got our assignments a bit differently.
Thanks! :)

My idea is we can alternate between textbook work and blogging. There's more fun-teresting stuff you can do on blogs but we should switch back to some maps and paper work once in a while. :)

I actually loved blogging a lot. But like everyone said, it can be really distracting, especially by the templates. When I'm blogging, I usually like to make templates more than writing on it, hehe. But when we're working with textbook, it seems boring for all of us. Though it can be effective for most of us, including me sometimes.

By the way, I finished assignment 8. You should come by and check it out, but I' still not sure if I have all the grammars right. :D

heyy miss pollock

I love blogging and i would like to do blogging for geography as well. My first reason is that we can never forget our homework and our history homework never makes our school bags too heavy because they are with us wherever we go. My second reason is that blogging is really fun and it gives us a reason to test our skills in many different areas.

However i also do agree with what some other people said blogging can be distracting at times. But overall blogging is really fun and i would love to continue blogging for geography as well. Since "some" of us just got used to blogging.

Im hoping we can continue with blogging. It is very fun and interesting as we get feedback, post pictures as well as helps us type even faster then before. :)

The textbooks are so boring,
somtimes people forget to bring textbooks, but on the internet,
we can share information as well as use links like Wikipedia to help us find informatoin, unlike as a textbook, only has a short ammount of information on the person. :\

I also enjoy listening to music as I blog and I don't know why, but blogging seems more easy when I do. I don't know about others, but I very enjoy blogging. :D

So I hope that we will continue blogging~ ;)

I think personally that we should switch back to the text books because I seem to be getting lower marcks then I did before when we were using the textbook

Also because, when we blog i am always helping people ither with assignments or something like that. I never have time to finish my own blog except when i have to do it for homework. I do not have much time for homework now because i play competetive soccer and i have that almost every day.

I do not like blogs because it's a waste of my time and many of us could do way better if we didn't use the blog. That's why I dislike blog.

I like doing blogs it's fun and new but there are a lot of things I don't like with blogging. I found that when where blogging we end up with less time to work then when we where using textbooks. Usally we come into the lab and put are thiings away and then we pull a chair into the middle for 30 mintuesor more of the class. Then by the time that we all get settled down and working it is time to pack up and shut down. The problemis that as where sitting in the middle there are still assingments that are due in a litle while. I found that I have more homework with blogging then I did with textboooks. I don't really mind this that much beacuse you alomost allways gib\ve us a weekend to work on it. I think that blogging is a good idea but less time in the middle. I know that we do need to go over some stuff but if we stay more on topic through it all we will get more time on blogs.

Blogging Is cool But When you think about it your not really learning anything. Text books are more knowledgable and realiable. Not all of the information online is true. Besides Geo I prefer in a text book because there is better picture and better understanding of the text. Again if you enter something in the internet its not always safe or correct.

What I love about blogging is that we are not using textbooks, but the work is still very interesting, but TOO easy.

Hi Miss Pollock,

I would like to continue blogging because reading from a textbook is dull... and besides , there is an extent to all the information in a textbook whereas when you blog, there is a "sea" of information just waiting to be read on the internet and hundreds of pages of details about just 1 subject you would be searching up. With textbooks, the is still alot of information, but it is nothing compared to what the internet has.
