Welcome!

Hello students of E7/8, E7A, E7B and E8C (and anyone else who happens to stumble on this blog)!

Welcome to Canadian History with Miss Pollock. Because our textbooks can get a little dull at times and because it's always great to have an opportunity to integrate technology into the classroom, you are a part of a pilot project in which you will be completing the remainder of your Canadian History course online! We will all be learning as we go, including me, your teacher. We'll try out some interesting things and I want you all to be open to new ideas as well as sharing your input on how things are going.

We will work together to develop your blogs over the remainder of the year. You will work on your blogs both in and out of class. Don't forget that you're welcome to make an appointment with me after school or during recesses so that I can give you some one-on-one guidance or you can have extra time to work in our computer lab.

To remind you what exactly a blog is, click on the highlighted word.

I am so excited about this project and I hope you are too!

Let's get rocking and rolling!

Miss P
Here is how you link to this page.

Hello Ms Pollock!

I wrote a post, and the idea of writing about the future got me thinking that even though it doesn't really have anything to do with history, it would be interesting for people to read. I can delete it after. It's about a really reasonable (I think) theory about what aliens might be. You can find it on my blog! :)

Cheerio!

Hello Ms. Pollock.

I posted a new blog entry about this website I just learned about. It lets you send e-mails to yourselves and you get them in the future but you get to choose when. Here is the URL to the blog entry and I would really appreciate it if you spread the word on your blog so everyone can do it. I think it is a great idea.
