Comments: A Quick Reminder

Those of you with funky templates,

Make sure that people can comment on your blogs! I just tried to comment on Amit's blog and was unable to! Egads! Go to Settings-->Comments-->Show comments in pop-up window

Also, make sure that people do not need to type in a scrambled word. For that, go to Settings--->Comments-->Show word verification for comments-->"No"

Have a friend comment on your blog so that you know comments work. The Tech Experts are pro at this if you still need extra help.

Assignment #3 1/2

Hello darlings,

  Please take a look at three classmates blogs (at least) and read their posts for Assignment #3.  Please leave constructive comments.  Tell the writer some things that you liked about their posting and give them some suggestions for next time.  This is similar to the way you make comments in class, "I liked it when..., Next time..."

Make sure that you have done the following:
-allow comments from anonymous posters (from your blog, click on "Customize" go to the Settings tab-->select Comments--> and change "Who can comment" to Anyone - allow anonymous posters")

-set up your preferences for comment moderation (Settings-->Comments--> and set your moderation preference as you wish, to either Always, Never or Only on posts older than 14 days)

-select "No" for "Show word verification for comments" (Settings-->Comments-->Show word verification...)
-follow this blog (Customize-->Dashboard-->Reading List: ADD-->type in my blog address http://www.historypollock.blogspot.com), you can also link to your classmates' blogs in the same way

Reminders:
-no chat language ("how r u?", "lol", "rofl", "jk"), please punctuate correctly, use correct grammar, spellcheck and proof read your work
-this is your professional, educational blog - write things that you can take pride in!
